Tasting Notes:

Varietal Composition: 50% Syrah – 35% Malbec – 15% Viognier.

Geographic Area: Syrah (Pencahue), Malbec and Viognier (Cauquenes), Maule Valley.

Winemaking: Selected grapes from our own vineyards were crushed and underwent to a 24-hour cold maceration. Alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts took place in stainless steel tanks at 27ºC. The Viognier was fermented with its skins and finished with the Syrah skins.

Winemaker’s comments: Intense ruby-red in color, this wine is expressive and very floral with notes of black fruit and “dulce de leche” (a thick milk-based jam). On the palate, this medium-bodied wine is fresh with notes of apricot and soft toast. Its finish is juicy with medium persistence.

Food pairings: This wine pairs with lean red meat, white meat, ham, pasta dishes and fruit marinated in wine. Best served at between 16ºC and 18ºC.

Cellaring Recommendations: 2 to 3 years.
